Over the past fifty-plus years I have been on a quest for truth concerning Yahweh’s greater Kingdom purpose for my life, and while much of my journey has included the pitfalls and struggles of life, I have come to realize that all of them somehow served to bring me to this place in time.

As I reflect back over the years of my life, I am reminded of all of the various times and seasons that I have both enjoyed and endured. In the early years, I spent much of my time praying, worshipping, and reading the Bible. Honestly, my life was so radically and deeply changed and impacted, that I did not want anything but my new-found life and purpose for BEING. 

The truth is, I still go to bed every night saying, Father, I need You NOW more than ever, and I wake up every morning asking, what are WE doing today? I wish that I could say that was always the case, but it would be less than honest and transparent. 

Over the past five decades, I had moments of leaning to my own understanding and going my own way, much of which resulted in detours, distractions, and epoch failure. Then after months and years of stripping, gutting, and crushing, I would arise, by His grace, with a new-found purpose for living.

During this process, I learned the importance of receiving answers to questions for which I did not know how to ask, and learned to ask questions for the things that I did not fully understand.

One of the things that I have learned over the years is there are four major phases to our walk and journey with the Sovereign. The first phase was all about ME. The second phase was about ME and the SOVEREIGN. The third phase was about the SOVEREIGN and ME, and the fourth phase has all been about the SOVEREIGN. 

With all the twists and turns, ups and downs, of my life, I cannot remember a time when He was far from me, and His love and grace have sustained me in the darkest of hours, and I am fully persuaded that He will lead me onward and upward. 

Julia, my wife of forty years, along with my team and family have been and are a great source of encouragement to me, as we continue with focused intent to pursue His greater Kingdom purpose for our lives together. 

We are eternally grateful for all those with whom we have served the King and His interests. Thank you!

For the past decade or more, we have been looking for the land of our fathers, in order to begin to do life with the people of our tribe. Five years ago, we knew that our time in Northeast Tennessee was coming to an end, so we began to anticipate the forthcoming details concerning our next assignment. In the fall of 2020, we all agreed that we were being sent to East Texas in order to serve the greater body of Messiah, by helping His sons discover the purpose for which they were born. We also knew that it would include pioneering an Apostolic Resource Center called ‘A Place Called H.O.M.E’ [House Of Messiah’s Ekklesia].

I wish that I could report that everything fell into place in order to make this relocation seamless, but after making the decision to take the necessary step of faith to make it happen, we found ourselves separated, in three different locations, in the middle of the covid-19 pandemic, and that during one of the coldest winters in Texas history. That was the winter of 2021, and it is still etched in our memories. During that time, my wife and I were living in an RV park in Murchison, TX. Then our home in Tennessee sold within a week of listing it, and the full weight of our decision began to come down hard. 

In the middle of a pandemic and a very harsh winter, we cried out to the only one who could help us locate and purchase a house in a very robust Real Estate market. One night in early Spring of 2021, before falling off to sleep, I said, “Father, You have never failed to provide for us in almost forty years of marriage, but I have not been able to locate suitable property in this market, and now we are scattered across three states, with our house under contract in Tennessee. We need Your help to locate and purchase a suitable piece of property in East Texas.”

Just before falling off to sleep, I heard Him say “I have your back.” I slept like a baby that night. The next morning shortly after waking up, I got a notification concerning a new listing. In fact, it was a relisted property that was nestled in the rural region of Smith County, and within our search parameters. It was in our price range and believe it or not, a perfect place for a new start. 

I immediately called my real estate agent and scheduled a viewing with the intention of making an offer if the pictures did the property justice. 

They did, and we did. Our offer was received without a counter, and we purchased a 4-bedroom/2-bath house on one acre in the country for $10,000.00 below the asking price. It truly was an answer to the prayer I prayed the night before, and we spent the next year making it our own. GLORY! 

Welcome to true apostolic ministry. This move, while anything but seamless, would not have been possible without the help of friends and family who did everything within their power to make it possible for us to call the state of Texas our home. We are eternally grateful to them for their tireless prayers and support, and while we pray that this will be the last big move, we are called upon to make, we have learned to never say never. Since that time, we have been walking out our assignment, and reaching for all the purpose we can at the present. 

Finally, after many years of preparation, which included a wilderness experience and a lot of unexpected hardship, we are ready to continue to engage the next part of our assignment, which will include using every tool In the box to establish ‘A Place Called H.O.M.E’ in the land of our Father’s, with the people of our tribe.

That will include our weekly zoom call, as well as monthly get-togethers. We are stepping out in faith believing that we will be able to continue to fellowship, break bread and share life together in Him on the first Friday of every month. It is our intention to also be salt and light in this locale and region, as we provide yet another way for His sons to connect and relate and discover the purpose for which they were born. 

Lastly, we are presently looking for more land and property that will better serve the next phase of the vision we have carried for a very long time. We are open to further insight, instructions and strategies that will fulfill His greater Kingdom purpose for our lives together. Blessings!
